Rotary Club of Arnprior’s Newest Member
On Monday, Dec 11th Heather Lang was inducted as a new member of the Rotary Club of Arnprior. The induction ceremony was held at the Club’s annual Christmas dinner held at the Galilee Centre in Arnprior.

During her previous tenure as a Councillor in the Township of McNab/Braeside, Heather developed a productive relationship with the Rotary Club of Arnprior. The Club worked with Heather, Township staff, the Friends of Clay Bank Nature Park for Outdoor Learning, Forests Ontario, Macnamara Field Naturalists and the Grasslands Stewardship Initiative and others in tree planting and threatened bird habitat enhancement projects.
Heather is a dedicated environmentalist with a successful, life-long career in many aspects of public communications. Co-President Diana Tomazin noted during the induction ceremony that Heather’s “record of community service, leadership qualities, communications talents and other characteristics would make [her] an outstanding Rotarian.” And Co-President Buena DeGoode said to Heather that she had “been chosen for membership in the Arnprior Rotary Club because we are confident that the ideals and the hard-earned image of Rotary are safe in your keeping.”
