Congratulations to all of the 2024 Grade 8 graduates!

Arnprior Rotary is proud to recognize these recipients who best represent the Values of Rotary's 4-Way Test. The World would be a better place if everyone answered Yes to these Questions.

Of the things we think, say or do
  • Is it the TRUTH?
  • Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  • Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  • Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

Dictionaries 4 Life Head Home at the End of the School Year

Did you know that every grade three student attending school in Arnprior gets a dictionary given to them by the Arnprior Rotary Club ? My daughter in grade three came home with hers today. She received it at the beginning of the year and used it throughout the school year and now it is hers to keep. Rotary thinks supporting children through literacy programs is very important to the success of our future.
We are proud that our Club has been collecting medical supplies and equipment from the Ottawa Valley to help with this initiative. Previous containers have gone to help after the Beirut Explosion and to Ukraine as well as Ghana.

Congratulations to all who have helped!
Arnprior Rotary recognizes the mental health benefits through socializing & being productive for the well-seasoned & handy men of our community by donating $2,000 to The Men's Shed to support their move to Braeside.

On hand to receive the $2,000 Donation is John Wahay (left) Treasurer of the Men’s Shed and Terry Dawson (right) representing the Arnprior Rotary Club. The overall objective of the Men’s Shed Fundraising Campaign is to help ready their new home in Braeside for occupancy, and support their efforts to develop new and exciting Men’s Shed programs and services that will benefit our Communities.

Arnprior Rotary is continuing to support the Arnprior & District Food Bank

Rotarian Jane Peters passed along $3,000 to Food Bank's Pat Tait and Don Palmer (Inventory Manager). Support for food challenged individuals and families is a priority of the Arnprior Rotary Club.

The need for Food Bank support continues in the Arnprior & McNab-Braeside area.

Rotary Great Lakes Watershed Cleanup on Earth Day

Members and Friends of the Rotary Club of Arnprior turned out on Sat April 20th to help clean up an area around the former LCBO and the Algonquin Trail near Division Street in Arnprior. This was part of a broader Rotary effort that has taken place for the last three years; i.e., the Great Lakes Watershed Cleanup that involves scores of Rotary Clubs around the Great Lakes on both sides of the international border. By having cooperation on such a large scale, it helps drive home the fact that smaller local efforts, when combined, can have a significant positive environmental impact regionally and globally.

We were very pleased to be also part of and to throw our support behind the local Great Arnprior Trash Hunt! Overall, it was incredible to see all the willing hands show up this year to beat back the trash around town.

On Tues April 23rd, the next generation of environmentally conscious citizens did their part in cleaning up trash in the streets around the local high school. With the help of Rotary, Barbara Graham’s enthusiastic grade nine class at ADHS made a serious dent in the amount of trash in the downtown area. Hats off to all of them!
