Arnprior Rotary Supports ADHS Students for Success
The Rotary Club of Arnprior has answered the call to help students at the Arnprior District High School. Renfrew County has been identified as one of Ontario’s counties with the highest rates of child poverty and unfortunately Arnprior is number two in the County in this regard. Students face all kinds of pressures as they work their way towards graduation and poverty at home can add to that challenge.
Kristina Gray is the Student Success Teacher at ADHS and she has been working for years to help students at risk. Kristina works very hard at developing a range of partnerships and to seek out sources of funding to provide various programs to help students. For the past two years, Rotary has provided the Student Success program with financial assistance amounting to $6,000 and has been pleased to be able to help fill gaps in the much needed funding to provide such a meaningful program.
