Help Us Protect our Watershed on Earth Day!
Join the Arnprior Rotary Club 9am - 11am in a Great Lakes Watershed Cleanup on Saturday April 20, 2024.
We are all connected. Our Great Lakes Watershed includes the Madawaska and Ottawa Rivers which flow into the St Lawrence River. All of our grand trash hat gets into local creeks and rivers will wash downstream.
We welcome and urge all Arnprior people to get behind this year's Earth Day Clean-up. We have traditionally enlisted the able assistance of ADHS High School Students and are happy to join forces with other groups in tow, including The Great Arnprior Trash Hunt which is also happening on April 20th, including a BBQ! The more the merrier!
Our Site targeted for this year's Clean-up is the Algonquin Trail, East and West of Daniel St by the Rotary Bicycle Repair Station and in the vicinity of the former LCBO. Park in the area and meet at 9 am, April 20th for Sign In, Orientation and to get Supplies. Or you can sign in at Mallards Milk Bar where the BBQ Lunch will be held.
Remember that there is always the possibility of Poison Ivy or Ticks in the grass and uneven terrain, so wear appropriate attire: good Closed Toed Shoed or Boots, Long Sleeves, Pants, Sun protection and some Work Gloves are recommended.
